Description:

ACEs are traumatic events that occur during childhood and can significantly affect long-term health and well-being.  ACEs can include: Experiencing violence, abuse, or neglect; Substance use and/or mental health challenges in the household, including someone attempting or completing suicide; Household instability and more.  This training explores Adverse Childhood Experiences in relation to brain development, the impact of trauma on that development and on risk factors later in life, and the interrelation of ACEs, as well as how to begin to buffer ACE impacts. CEU's are available for attendees.

Learning objectives:

1. Attendees will display a 100% increase in knowledge.  2. Attendees will also informally use the information learned after the training with their interactions and passing knowledge onto others.

 

CEU Information:

This course provides 2.0 CEU’s. CEU’s are Category 1 CEU provided by Indiana State statute 839IAC 1-6-2(F)(86)

 

Registration information provided as part of this course may be used by MHAI for various purposes, including reporting to state agencies and other accreditation and/or funding sources.
